Germany will find out tonight it their troubles are behind them as they meet host nation, Austria. Despite being the underdogs in this match-up, Austria are trying to show that their controversial draw is not by any means, a feeble attempt to be a top footballing nation. Austria should have won Poland when it seems that Poland had scored a goal that looked offside. However, they face up against a team that will probably not allow that sort of chance to happen.
The Germany players had an internal discussion and as captain Ballack pointed out, it cleared any doubts players had over one another. Of course, one would expect them to stroll out for an easy victory against the Austrians despite any problems. However, the Germans are not taking this game lightly. Germany will definitely be ready to tear the Austrians apart and Kicks 4 Kicks! would expect anything less than a 3 goal victory to be a surprise.
Croatia are through as leaders in Group B and will be looking to subdue the pretenders, Poland. The Poles can definitely play better than both their showings so far, and while they still need to depend on Germany to lose against Austria and hope that they beat Croatia by more goals than Austria, one can expect Poland to give this a final shot.
Many have written off both Austria and Poland, knowing how both teams need to depend on the other to have a chance of going through to the quarter-finals and nobody knows this better than Poland themselves. Croatia are high and dry and they will definitely try to avoid any major injuries or bookings. Therefore, Kicks 4 Kicks! reckon this to be an exciting match, but may very well end in only a draw.
Kicks 4 Kicks! say Germany to trounce Austria 4-0 and qualify as 2nd placed team, and Poland to draw with Croatia 1-1.
